A free address is released after 6 hours of silence and handed to the next visitor. Pro stops that from ever happening to yours.
This is not a nag screen. Everything free stays free and unmetered in the ways it is today. Pro exists because a real problem shows up in our logs: people sign up for something with a throwaway address, and the mail that actually matters arrives weeks later.
Why this matters more than it sounds
Recycling is what makes a free disposable service possible, and it is normally harmless: you needed a code, you got the code, you left. But a slice of what passes through here is not like that.
An airdrop claim confirms in April and pays out in September. A password reset link for an account you made last year. A refund notice. In every one of those cases the address that receives it has been idle for months, which on the free tier means it belongs to a stranger by then. They get the email. It is not a hypothetical: it is the arithmetic of a 6-hour idle window.
Pro is the fix, and it is deliberately narrow.
Your address is never recycled
It stays bound to you whether you check it hourly or once a year. Nobody else is ever allocated it. This is the whole reason Pro exists.
Higher API limits
600 requests per minute and 500 new inboxes per hour, up from 60 and 20. Counted per license rather than per IP, so a CI runner on a shared egress address does not compete with itself. Send your key as X-License-Key.
Still no account
No email, no password, no name, no card. You pay once and get a license key. The key is the credential, and it works on any device.

What if I lose the key?
Then you lose the subscription. There is no account to recover it from, no email on file and no support channel that can identify you, because we deliberately hold none of that. This is the honest cost of not asking who you are. Write it down.
How fast does payment confirm?
Usually under a minute. We wait for 12 confirmations on Polygon before activating, which is about 25 seconds of block time, plus up to 30 seconds until the next scan.
I sent the wrong amount.
The transfer is recorded either way, it just is not matched to an order automatically. The trailing digits are the only thing tying a payment to a buyer, so a rounded amount needs to be sorted out by hand.
Does Pro give me a custom address?
Not yet. Today Pro is exactly two things: your address is never recycled, and the API limits go up. We would rather ship a short list that is true than a long one that is aspirational.
